Sims Grown Plants

This year, our plants will be sold in 1-2 inch biodegradable pots. This means, one less step for you when getting ready to plant as the pots can be directly planted into the soil. We are also proud to minimize waste and use plastic as seldom as possible.

We create our soil mix, which we believe leads to happy, healthy, resilient plants. Our soil blend is a combination of vermiculite, earthworm castings, coconut core, peat moss, and pelletized chicken manure and is listed for organic production.

All our plants are started from Johnny’s Seeds, and photos and descriptions of each plant are sourced from their site.

Our Garden Consultations

Our garden consultations are a great idea if you’re looking for a little guidance on a new garden or even to get input on an already existing one.

• Prior to your consultation, we will email you a questionnaire ahead of time. It’s super simple and asks some questions on garden location, your irrigation hookup and things like that. It’s more of a discussion piece for our consult and not something you have to send back to us.

• If needed, it includes an on-site soil test and our feedback and general recommendations on your soil's test results. (if using in-ground rows as opposed to raised beds)

• Includes us coming out to your property and assessing your growing space, verbal brainstorming/ conversation of what's possible based on sunlight, soil, irrigation etc.

• Our consultations are $200 and are due to book your appointment. We’ll send payment instructions after confirming a date and time. Most of our clients end up wanting personalized plans as they’re most helpful visually and include links to everything you need. If you decide you would like personalized plans/layout, we are happy to price that out for you. If you decide you want just a consult, that’s great, too! The consults are a brainstorm session with what we feel is possible for your space and a soil test (if applicable if not doing raised beds). We always suggest bringing a notebook to the consult to jot down takeaways.
